Humidity Sensor Types

Humidity sensors from Measurement Specialties are designed to improve performance, reduce energy consumption and increase safety.  In any environment where temperature affects performance, compensating for humidity should also be considered.  Typical applications for humidity sensors include automotive, appliances, HVAC and medical.

Measurement Specialties recently acquired Humirel, a world leader in the design and manufacture of innovative humidity and temperature sensors.  Humirel’s proprietary manufacturing processes, derived from the semiconductor industry, are strictly controlled to guarantee consistent output.  A high level of automation in the board assembly process makes these humidity/temperature sensors ideal for high volume production required for large OEM programs.  Humidity sensors are available as sense components, assemblies with voltage (analog) output or PCB modules for frequency (digital) output.

Beyond our standard product offerings, Measurement Specialties provides quality technical support and works closely with customers to develop competitively priced application specific modules to meet the custom demands of large OEM projects.

Humidity Sense Components

Based on a unique capacitive cell, the relative humidity and temperature sensors from Measurement Specialties are designed for high volume, cost sensitive applications such as office automation, automotive cabin, air control, home appliances, and industrial process control systems.  They are useful in all applications where humidity compensation is needed.

Humidity PCB Modules

PCB module humidity/temperature transducers from Measurement Specialties provide frequency (digital) output and are calibrated for accuracy in the range of  3-5% for relative humidity from 10-95%.  Applications include automotive, HVAC and medical.

Humidity Assemblies

Measurement Specialties offers packaged humidity/temperature sensors for voltage (analog) output.  Designed for 2% accuracy in ranges from 10-95% relative humidity (RH), these sensors can be used for HVAC and air quality applications in which compensation for humidity is required.  A specialized version for low RH settings is available.
